Yesterday ended suckily. I was not able to finish the cake despite my best efforts. But worse than that was bad news from my lawyer regarding child support. But it did not make me cry. It made me frustrated and angry and left me feeling defeated as this process often does, over and over again defeated.
Then later in the evening my phone rang and it was Clyde calling from his step mother’s phone. He was in tears, could barely talk. “I miss you,” he managed to choke out, “I miss you.” And the robot cried, like she had a dial on her back called crying and it was twisted all the way to a hundred. I managed to calm us both down. “I’ll see you in just two more days” I said, “day after tomorrow. What do you want to do when you get here?” I asked him. “In the nighttime I want to eat tacos,” he said. “Yes, of course,” I said, “we’ll have tacos.”
So I’m feeling pretty shitty right now. But I need to go to Trader Joes, to see the firemen of course, but also to get all the ingredients for the best tacos little man has ever had.

I’m sorry Tara! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Sounds like your bad day beats my bad day.
Anna liked tacos. LOVED tacos. Then she ate too many and puked. Now she hates tacos. And Taco Bell. That is all.
You’re a great Mom, tacos and all.
That made me cry! He’s so cute! Don’t forget to buy the ice cream taco that the ice cream truck carries for dessert.
Aww,lame… that’s so cute though. In the night time I want to eat tacos too!
Bless. I hope those were some damn fine tacos.
